Welcome!
Great news - Bron Gwynedd
has just gained FOUR STARS from Visit Wales!
We are really pleased to
have all the excellent comments from our guests confirmed by
the tourist board's assessor during our first season of
letting.
Set at the southern edge
of the Snowdonia National
Park, at the top of the village of
Penrhyndeudraeth and overlooking glorious
mountain and estuary views, Bron Gwynedd is a recently
renovated 3 bedroomed detached cottage, sleeping 6 people. The
Ffestiniog railway runs just below the house, and a private
level crossing provides the access to your holiday
home.
The ground floor of
the house consists of separate living and dining rooms,
a refitted kitchen and a utility room. On the first floor
there are three bedrooms - one containing a king sized
four poster bed, one with twin beds, and one with
sturdy full sized bunk beds - and a family bathroom. Further
details can be found under "accommodation".
Bedding is included in the
price of your holiday; all sheets, duvet covers and pillow
cases are in luxury percale for your comfort. Electricity is
also included in your holiday price.
We are very sorry, but due
to the recent renovations we cannot accept pets as part of
your party. Bron Gwynedd is also a "no smoking"
zone.
The house has been renovated
specifically for letting; whilst it looks very nice, it is
also designed to be tough, with stain-proof carpeting and
solid furnishings. Don't get too worried about bouncy
offspring and pale colourways, as with a little common sense
it should survive them well!
Cars are parked on the lane
below the house, and the glorious views make the short walk up
the partially stepped path (including your very own pedestrian
level crossing over the Ffestiniog steam railway!) thoroughly
worthwhile.
Changeover day is
generally on Saturday. However, long weekend
bookings are welcomed off season - please ask about the
weekend(s) you would like. You are welcome to arrive any time
after 5 pm on your day of arrival. We ask you to leave by
midday on your date of departure so that the cleaners can get
in.
Tesco have successfully
delivered many times to the house via online order, and
apparently Asda now cover the area too, so why not order your
groceries before you leave home and get them brought to the
door?
We opened in
July 2010 for this first year of letting for the house, whose
complete renovation has only just been finished. We think
you'll really enjoy it.
Altogether Bron Gwynedd is a
comfortable, pleasantly restored cottage in a beautiful
setting, ideal for a great holiday, for families, friends, and
honeymooners alike.
