Bron Gwynedd - Terms & Conditions of holiday letting
This agreement is for the purposes of a holiday rental only. By signing the Booking Form you agree that you are over 18 years of age and that you accept full responsibility for all payments due and for the consequences of any actions of all persons who will use the Property during your holiday. You also confirm that you have read all the Booking Conditions and agreed to be bound by them.
Making your reservation - To reserve your holiday please get in touch with the owner, Mrs Hilary Atkins, by telephone on 07974 957420, or using the Contact Form on the website. Once you have checked that the weeks when you wish to take your holiday are still available, they will be reserved for you for up to seven days.
Paying the deposit - The deposit of 30% of the booking cost should then be sent to Mrs Hilary Atkins, at 18 Woodsome Close, Whitby, Cheshire, CH65 6QE, together with the completed booking form. Please make cheques payable to C H Atkins. Should these not be received within 7 days, the reservation cannot be held for you. Once your deposit has cleared into the bank, confirmation of your booking will be sent to you.
Paying the balance - The balance of the booking cost must be paid at least 8 weeks before the start date of your holiday, or at the time of booking if this is within 8 weeks of the start date. When this has cleared, a joining pack will be sent to you, with full directions, key details, and so forth. If the balance is not received on time the owner reserves the right to cancel your booking, retain your deposit and attempt to re-let the week(s) concerned. Reminders will not necessarily be issued.
Cancellation - You may cancel your booking at any time before the holiday, provided you do so in writing to the owner. If you cancel more than 8 weeks before the start date, you will lose your deposit. If you cancel less than 8 weeks before the start of your holiday, 80% of the holiday cost will be retained: If cancellation occurs on or after the start date of your holiday the full holiday cost will be retained.
Insurance - You should obtain your own insurance cover for the holiday to cover yourselves in the unfortunate event of having to cancel.
Cancellation by owner - The owner reserves the right to cancel the booking at any time in the event of the house becoming unavailable through circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the owner – for example, fire, theft, or flood. In these unlikely circumstances the owner will refund in full all money received for the booking, but will not be liable for any loss incurred by you as a result of the cancellation.
Condition of house - The house, garden, furnishings and contents thereof must be left in the condition in which they were when you arrived. If any appliance should fail during your stay, or in the event of any breakages, please contact our pleasant and helpful caretaker, Neil, on the number that you will find in the welcome pack as soon as possible so that he can arrange for replacements. The house should be cleaned throughout before you depart. Should it be left in poor condition, we will have to charge you for the additional cleaning time.
Replacement of damaged items - You will be liable for any breakages, strange indelible stains, or damages which have occurred during your stay with the exception of those resulting from fair wear and tear. We will have to replace damaged items immediately, and will do our best to do so at a reasonable price, keeping you informed of progress. We will invoice you for the cost of the replacements and you will pay the invoice by return. Please don’t try to replace one broken wineglass, for instance, as we like to keep them matching and they aren’t expensive, good old Ikea!
Security - The house must be secured at all times when you are not in it, with windows closed and doors locked.
Smoking - The house and grounds are a strictly no-smoking area.
Pets - Sorry, but no pets are allowed.
If at any time you have any queries about your holiday, please feel free to ring and ask, and Bron Gwynedd looks forward to welcoming you soon.
